ADMISSIONS
Havering Council (the Local Authority) is the admission authority for all community schools in the London Borough of Havering. This means that it is the Council’s responsibility to set the admissions criteria and make the decisions as to which pupils are admitted to this school.

Applications for children to start Reception in September must be made via your home Local Authority. For parents that live in Havering this website is www.eadmissions.org.uk
IN-YEAR ADMISSIONS
The Havering School Admissions Team manage the In-Year application process on behalf of Newtons Primary School alongside all other schools in Havering. You must therefore apply following the In-Year process set out via www.havering.gov.uk/admissions/inyear.
APPEALS
If your child has not been offered a school place following an in-year application, you have the legal right to appeal this decision to an Independent Appeal Panel.
In Havering, we utilise an external company to facilitate all school appeals.
This company is responsible for clerking, timetabling, and arranging independent panels, ensuring the appeals process is entirely independent of both the school and the Local Authority, providing a fair and impartial review.
In line with the School Admission Appeals Code 2022, all admission appeals will be held online.
This approach has been chosen by the admission authority and appeal panels based on positive feedback from previous online hearings.

NURSERY
We hold our own Nursery list and can accommodate 36 children this can be full time, AM or PM
Morning is 8.30am to 11.30am
Afternoon is 12.30pm to 3.30pm
All day is 8.30am to 3.30pm (additional cost applies)
