Our Vision

Our vision is to create a federation of schools where children succeed and are proud of their achievements. We strive to actively promote British values and prepare our children to become role models, thus preparing them for life in modern Britain. To do this, we create a respectful, inclusive atmosphere that is welcoming, fun, friendly and safe. We are a federation that nurtures curiosity and creativity through an inspiring, challenging and engaging curriculum, where learning is at the heart of all that we do. Our children learn to become resilient and self-assured in an environment where success is celebrated. Our ethos is delivered through these aims for our children:

• To teach tolerance and respect to all children. All children are valued individuals and should be respected.

• To encourage everyone to have high expectations of themselves in an environment where they can reach their personal best.

• To promote equality of opportunity and aim to develop the children’s awareness of moral, cultural, social and spiritual issues.

• To have engaging and challenging opportunities through a creative and inclusive curriculum within the school and beyond into the local community.

• To encourage excellence by sharing successes and supporting the children to reach their full potential.

Through the aims of the Federation, we actively promote lifelong learning whilst ensuring the children respect one another, enjoy their school experiences and achieve their personal best.

Newtons Primary School Governing Body

Mrs B Musham
Learning & Achievement Committee, Leadership & Management (Finance & Premises), Health & Safety, Pupil Premium, Literacy

My name is Beverley Musham and I have been a parent governor at Newtons school since January 2011.  I currently hold governor responsibility for Health and Safety and Literacy.

As I hold the pupils, staff, and school’s wellbeing to heart, I joined the committee of the Friends of Newtons school when it started in 2011 and since May 2015 I have held the position of chairperson for the Friends of Newtons school, organising various events to raise extra funds for the school.

I am married to John and have 3 children all of whom have attended Newtons school. Ava is currently in year 5 at Newtons, whilst Ethan is now at Havering Sixth form college, and Hayden studies at Harris Academy Rainham.

I work as a part time registrar with the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and have been in this position for 14 years. I worship at St Andrews church in Hornchurch where for the last 15 years I have run the Mother and Toddler group 0-2s as a volunteer. I also volunteer with the summer club which the church runs during the school holidays for children and actively take part in other church activities.
