Sitting Vollyball: Our sitting Volleyball team participated in many games at Drapers Academy in Romford.
Handball: In March we took a team of children to attend the Handball competition at Bower Park Academy.
Festival of Sports: Newtons School were lucky enough to be chosen to represent Havering in the London Youth Games Festival of Sports events.
Sports Hall Athletics: Year 3 and 4 took part in the Sports Hall Athletics tournament held at Harrow Lodge Sports Centre.
Netball: In November our Netballers travelled to Noak Hill to play their league games. They played 3 games against other schools. The team worked hard using skills, tactics and strategy plans. The team demonstrated team commitment and spirt, cheering each other on and showing great sportsmanship and respect for each other. A great effort from a great team.
Football: The boys football team entered and played their first tournament at Harrow Lodge Primary School. The boys worked together as a team, and demonstrated great sportsmanship, resilience and fantastic football skills! They came up against some tough opposition and fought a good battle. As always, the children enjoyed playing and were all so well behaved cheering on each other and all the other teams.
Stubbers Activity Centre: This year the sports collective invited schools from Havering to bring a group of children to stay and play at Stubbers Activity Centre. A group of Year 4 children were excited to go on a scavenger Hunt led by Stubbers. After they had the opportunity to play on all their outdoor equipment. The Year 4 children had a great day and were excited to tell their parents what great activities were available to do at Stubbers.
